BigTime’s management team consists of entrepreneurs who have significant experience in building and marketing technology companies, and in serving the unique needs and interests of professional services firms. Many of the team members have worked together at previous successful
tech ventures, creating a cohesive and committed team.

Brian Saunders
Founder and CEO

Prior to founding BigTime Software, Inc. (formerly Edison’s Attic, Inc.) in 2002, Brian was a co-founder and CEO/CTO of DaVinci Software, Inc., a 60-person software development company that was sold in 1999 to a private equity firm. Brian was a software/new-product consultant for clients like Kraft Foods, Nicor Gas and United Airlines as well as a Board-level consultant for a number of Chicago-area venture-backed firms. Prior to founding DaVinci, he worked in professional services. He holds a B.A. from the University of Chicago.


Jake Matyas
COO

Jake was a Senior Vice President at Aon Financial Services and Senior Vice President and Director of Online Communications, Inc. (OLC) and part of the management team when OLC was sold to Thomson Reuters. He has extensive prior experience in delivery of professional services within several industries (including investor relations, research and communications). He joined BigTime in 2002. He holds a B.A. in Business Administration and Finance from Muhlenberg College, Allentown, Pa.


Mark Sandor
National Sales Director

Mark leads the national sales activities for both the direct sales team and the channel partners. He brings to BigTime 20 years of software sales experience from startup to major software companies such as Oracle, ADP, and i2 Technologies. Prior to joining BigTime, Mark was Director of Enterprise Sales for tax consulting services at Incentives Advisors and a Regional Sales Manager at ADP’s newly started Pre-Employment Services division. He brings extensive experience selling B2B solutions, establishing successful channel partners and building high performance sales teams. He holds a B.S. in Accounting from Stockton State College in Pomona, N.J.


Gary and Beth Hoover
Co-Creative Directors

Gary and Beth manage brand strategy and direct the marketing effort at BigTime. As partners in ideafarm, a Chicago-based branding and digital content agency, the duo has helped entrepreneurial companies large and small tell their stories to the marketplace. They bring to BigTime two decades of experience in advertising, design and marketing communications, particularly in the professional services realm. They are also award-winning screenwriters who teach at Loyola University and are on the film and TV faculty at Second City. Gary attended Kent State University and Ohio State University, earning a B.S. in Journalism. Beth holds a B.A. in English from the University of Virginia.


John Pinkerton
CFO

A career-long finance executive, John brings extensive experience serving as CFO, CAO and controller at both public and private entities. Most recently, John was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at ATC Technology Corporation, a high-growth engineering solutions and supply chain logistics firm where he worked for more than a decade in senior-level roles. Earlier, John was Director of Strategic Planning at Grimes Aerospace Company, a leading designer, manufacturer and distributor of aerospace lighting and avionics, now a subsidiary of Honeywell. John earned an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a B.A. in economics from UW-Madison. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Global Management Accountant.
