John S. Howell, Jr.

Advisory Board Chairman

John S. Howell, Jr., chair of the Advisory Board and longtime technology and software entrepreneur, is currently co-founder and Director of Acumatica, an innovative company that develops cloud ERP and accounting software applications designed to improve the productivity of mid-sized organizations. John brings to BigTime a history of entrepreneurial successes, most notably at Solomon Software International, which he helped build into the largest privately held accounting software company before selling it to Microsoft. He has also invested in and advised Sphere Communications from start-up to acquisition by NEC as a key part of their global enterprise solutions business.


Tim Krauskopf

Tim Krauskopf is a true Internet pioneer. Tim was a co-founder, Chief Technology Officer, and Board member of Spyglass, Inc., which went public in the first wave of internet IPOs. He led technology planning and managed development for Spyglass' web browser technology, which was licensed to more than 100 companies, most notably Microsoft where it became the foundation for Internet Explorer. He has also served as a software development executive at Motorola, CEO of Parlano, Inc. (acquired by Microsoft), President of PCQuote.com, and won the KPMG Illinois High Technology Entrepreneur of the Year award.


Joel Dryer

Joel Dryer is a prolific venture capitalist and technologist, advising and participating in numerous funds and portfolio companies. He is currently a Principal at LTC Partners, a private equity firm and management advisory firm (specializing in structured finance and advisory services for venture-backed and middle-market companies). He has served on the boards of several public companies and was formerly Chairman, CEO, and co-founder of M~Wave, Inc., leading the company's IPO. He was also named a KPMG Illinois High Tech Entrepreneur of the Year.


Todd Warren

Todd Warren is a former Microsoft corporate vice president and general manager who held a wide variety of positions over his 22 year career at Microsoft before retiring in 2009. Most recently, he held program and product management responsibilities for the Mobile and Embedded Product Group, Windows Small Business Server, and Microsoft Project. Todd is currently a Trustee of Northwestern University and an Adjunct Professor of Computer Science at the McCormick School of Engineering, and a General Partner at Divergent Ventures (an early-stage venture capital investment firm). He is also on the Board of Directors at Pcubed, a software development strategy consulting firm.


James A. Crouthamel

James (Jamie) A. Crouthamel is one of the most respected online marketing experts in the United States. He was awarded Ernst & Young's Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Information Technology in 2004, was named to Crain's Chicago Business' 40 Under 40 list, and has been named one of the 'Top 100' most influential people in technology in the Midwest. As founder and CEO of Performics, Jamie drove its dramatic growth through to its acquisition by DoubleClick in June 2004. Jamie is regarded as an industry thought leader and is a frequent speaker in online marketing, with extensive expertise in affiliate marketing, search engine marketing, performance-based marketing, ecommerce and online advertising.
